Who Should Attend

The IAEM-USA Mid-Year Meeting is for IAEM members, emergency management professionals, Congressional staffers and federal officials with a role in homeland security and emergency management. Sessions will include briefings from top DHS officials. The IAEM Mid-Year Meeting purpose is to advance IAEM committee work.

Date/Location

The IAEM-USA 2010 Mid-Year Meeting is scheduled for June 10-12, 2010 at the National Emergency Training Center, Emmitsburg, Maryland.

New Campus Arrival Registration Details

Please bring: Valid photo identification for security clearance.

Meeting Location: Emergency Management Institute (EMI), 16825 S. Seton Ave., Emmitsburg, MD 21727. Go to http://training.fema.gov/EMIWeb/downloads/campus_map.pdf for a map of the campus.

New Campus Arrival Registration Details:

• Room keys will be issued by OMNI staff in Building C after 2:00 pm for those who have secured housing. All room keys must be turned in by 9:00 am on date of departure.
• If your registration included a meal ticket, you may pick it up in Building K, cafeteria.

Thursday, June 10 arrivals (all registrants):

• Registrants may pick up their registration packet, which includes their IAEM badge, in Building C, Foyer as well as obtain your EMI vehicle parking permit.

Friday, June 11 arrivals (for registrannts who will be staying on campus):

• From 7:30 am to 10:00 am, registrants may pick up their registration packet, which includes their IAEM badge, in Building J, Breezeway as well as obtain your EMI vehicle parking permit.
• For those arriving after 10:00 am, registrants may pick up their registration packet, which includes their IAEM badge, at the Main Avenue Security Gate as well as obtain your EMI vehicle parking permit.

Friday, June 11 arrivals (for registrants who will not be staying oon campus):

• Registrants may pick up their registration packet, which includes their IAEM badge, at the Main Avenue Security Gate as well as obtain your EMI vehicle parking permit.

Saturday, June 12 arrivals:

• Registrants may pick up their registration packet, which includes their IAEM badge. in Building C, Foyer as well as obtain your EMI vehicle parking permit

Carpooling Information

• Participants can carpool with other attendees or will need to rent a car.
• Download master itinerary of all registered participants here, for attendees who wish to contact colleagues with similar travel schedules to discuss carpooling to Emmitsburg.

Schedule of Events

• CEM® Commission Meeting will take place Thursday, June 10, from 1:00 pm to Saturday, June 12 at 12:00 pm.
• IAEM-USA Board of Directors Meeting will take place Friday, June 11, from 8:00–9:30 am.
• The 2010 IAEM-USA Mid-Year Meeting program is planned to address Key Results Areas in IAEM’s Strategic Plan, including specific tasks identified by the IAEM-USA President as priorities, and other current IAEM-USA business.
