AWards And Recognition Committee

Committee Mission

Since it is the policy and practice of the Council to recognize and honor persons who have made special or significant contributions to the field of emergency management and have represented the profession well by their outstanding performance, the Awards and Recognitions Committee will solicit nominations for awards, review nominations, interpret committee guidelines, determine eligibility, and assist in the procurement and presentation of awards.

IAEM 2008 Awards Program

The call for nominations will be issued in Spring 2008.

IAEM 2007 Awards Program

Recipients of the Public Awareness and Technology & Innovation Awards were announced prior to the conference. See news release. The remainder of the awards were announced at the conference, and a news release is imminent. The rules, procedures, and official nomination form were all new this year, as a result of changes proposed by the Awards & Recognition Committee. Also, this was the first time that judging occurred electronically.
