- To unite with collegiate faculties and administrators to develop and maintain high standards of education in the field of Emergency Management.
- To create opportunities for students pursuing a career in Emergency Management or a supporting field.
- To facilitate local, regional, national and international networking through relationships established with University of Akron alumni and those working in Emergency Management or a supporting field.
- To promote professional and altruistic conduct through volunteer and professional opportunities.
