IAEM and TIEMS Offer 1-Year Free Reciprocal Memberships
With the goal of advancing global emergency management interests, IAEM and TIEMS are pleased to announce a 1-year complimentary reciprocal membership offer for members in good standing of each organization. Please note below the benefits of membership in each and who to contact:

IAEM is an international non-profit professional organization representing emergency management professionals globally at all levels of government, public and private sector Emergency Management, Civil Protection and Civil Defense. It is a professional association representing those involved in preventing, mitigating, preparing for, responding to, and recovering from all types of emergencies. IAEM provides access to the world’s largest network of emergency management experts who can provide advice and assistance; the Certified Emergency Manager® program; Education and Training programs; annual scholarships; a comprehensive monthly newsletter; and more. Seven Councils currently make up the international structure of IAEM with sub divisions of Regions and Chapters around the World. Those Councils are in many cases registered as non-profit organizations in their own right. For example IAEM Europe is a non-profit international NGO registered in Belgium with a Region in Italy and Chapters in Spain and Belgium. IAEM’s membership year is October 1 – September 30.

TIEMS iIs an international network of users, planners, researchers, industry, managers, response personnel, practitioners, social scientists, educators and other interested parties within Emergency and Disaster Management. The organization has developed an International Education, Training, and Certification Program, initiates and takes part in international research & development projects, and stimulates the exchange of information on the use of innovative methods and technologies. TIEMS is registered as a non-profit, international NGO in Belgium with chapters around the world, including in Romania, China, Belgium/Netherlands/Luxemburg, South Korea, India and Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and Iraq and Finland (under approval), which support TIEMS International. This TIEMS free membership for IAEM members will last until 1st June 2012.
