iaem STUDENT ELECTIONS 2008

VOTING INFORMATION

The elections for IAEM Student Offcers for all Council areas are being held online. This voting information area was set up so that you can review the campaign announcements of those Student Members who are running for office before casting your vote. Voting procedures and voting eligibility are also addressed here.

Start Date:

Online voting will begin on at 8:00 a.m. Eastern time on Monday, Oct. 6, 2008. On that date, the RED link to the right that says "VOTE NOW" will be activated.

End Date:

Online voting will end at 5:00 p.m. Eastern time on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008.

How Voting Works:

Online voting is secure and private. You can vote online by clicking on the RED link to the right on this page called "VOTE NOW" as of Oct. 22, 2007.

  • When you click on this link, you will be asked for your IAEM User ID and Password.
  • Enter that information, and you will be taken to the the Member Surveys page.
  • You will click on the survey for your Council area. This is your online ballot. If you click on another Council's survey/ballot, you will not be allowed access. These are the Council areas for which there will be Student Member Voting, listed by the name of each ballot:
    • 2008 IAEM-Asia Student Representative
    • 2008 IAEM-Canada Student Representative
    • 2008 IAEM-Europa Student Representative
    • 2008 IAEM-International Student
    • 2008 IAEM-Oceania Student Representative
    • 2008 IAEM-USA Student Officers & Bylaws
  • You will then be able to vote for Student Officers for your Council area. IAEM-USA Student Members additionally will vote on proposed IAEM-USA Student Region Bylaws.
  • When you have voted, click the "Post Survey Choices" button to cast your vote. (Once you click this button, you can't go back and you can't make changes - so be sure that your ballot is as you want it BEFORE you click the button.)

You can only vote once. You cannot change your vote once it is placed. If you have any difficulties in placing your vote, contact IAEM Membership Director Sharon Kelly at info@iaem.com.

Voter Eligibility: You must be a Student Member of IAEM, you may only vote for officers in your Council area, and you must have paid dues for Oct. 1, 2008 through Sept. 30, 2009 in order to be be eligible to vote in this election. All student member dues for 2008-2009 MUST be paid online no later than 5:00 p.m. Eastern time on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008, in order to be eligible to vote. If you do not pay your dues online by this cut-off date/time, you will NOT be eligible to vote.

The online ballots will be activated as of Oct. 6, 2008.

Click on the RED "VOTE NOW" link above. It will take you to the Member Surveys page where you can click on the online ballot for the student election in your Council area, and begin the voting process.  (If you go to the Member Surveys page before Oct. 6, you will not see the online ballot because it won't be activated yet.) The online ballot will be posted from Oct. 6 until voting ends on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, at 5:00 p.m. Eastern time.

Note: If you sign in to the Member Surveys page starting on Oct. 6, and you cannot get access to the student ballot/survey for your Council area, then our records show that you are not an eligible voter in this IAEM Student election. You must be an IAEM Student Member who has paid dues for 2008-2009 no later than 5:00 p.m. Eastern time, Oct. 15, 2008, in order to be eligible to vote.
