The IAEM-SC has worked hard to recruit organizations to the conference that are looking to offer employment or internships, especially to students. Within the EMEX Hall, all organizations that are offering jobs, internships, or are collecting resumes for future opportunities will have a GREEN FLAG placed at their EMEX Booth. Students can then contact representatives at those booths directly.
In addition, a job and internship board will be set up within the EMEX Hall where any member of IAEM may post job or internship opportunities. Students can access that board and make contact with the individual or organization at the conference.
Students are highly encouraged to bring business cards (for free business cards, go to www.vistaprint.com) and copies of their resume to distribute.

So what jobs are available in emergency management. and how can I make myself more competitive in the job market? Students enrolled in emergency management degree programs, as well as people looking at changing careers, are asking these questions more frequently, and this year’s Emergency Management Career Workshop will explore these questions. Members of IAEM who are at different points along their career paths will share their experiences. There will also be information on résumé writing and interview skills, which are a critical first step when applying for a job. The presentations will be followed up with opportunities to have your résumé reviewed and critiqued as well as the option to participate in one-on-one mock interviews.
RSVP for the EM Career Workshop as part of your conference registration. Register for the conference here.
