IAEM Region 9 Held May 9 Roundtable on "Biologicial Agents and the Threat of an H5N1 Influence Pandemic " (05/13/07)

IAEM Region 9 member and Deputy Administrator for Emergency Services Aaron Ward hosted the event in the new Yuba County Government Center. Around 34 professionals representing a variety of fire, law enforcement, EMS, health care, public health institutions, college districts, agricultural jurisdictions, the regional Red Cross Chapter, and the California Department of Health Services participated.

IAEM Region 9 President Named as Director of Southern California Emergency Services Association (02/14/07)

IAEM Region 9 President Gunnar Kuepper was recently appointed to serve as a director on the board of the Southern California Emergency Services Association. He will be sworn into this position on Mar. 7, 2007. This will create an even stronger bond in the already excellent partnership between IAEM Region 9 and the California state association.  

IAEM Region 9 Holds July 11, 2006 Roundtable on "H5N1 Bird Flu – Threat of an Influenza Pandemic?" (07/15/06)

IAEM Region 9 held its second roundtable on "H5N1 Bird Flu - Threat of an Influenza Pandemic?" on July 11 at the Gilbert Fire Dept. Amphitheater in Gilbert, Arizona. The event attracted more than 60 participants from a variety of large private corporations and public agencies. News coverage was provided by local TV Channel 12 and by the Arizona Republic and East Valley Tribune newspapers. The presentation was delivered by IAEM Region 9 President Gunnar Kuepper, who was invited by Gilbert's emergency manager, Sheri Gibbons, to offer the roundtable in Arizona.

IAEM Region 9 Hosted a roundtable on "H5N1 Bird Flu - Threat of an Influenza Pandemic?" on May 15, 2006, at the Proud Bird Restaurant, Los Angeles CA.
