Robie Robinson is currently the Director of Safety and Emergency Management for Tarrant County College District. He has earned the respect of his peers, is a Certified Emergency Manager (CEM®), and has demonstrated the ability to represent our collective interests locally, regionally, and nationally. Robie has held emergency management positions in rural as well as major urban areas. He has taught emergency management courses for multiple colleges and universities in addition to conducting professional training sessions across the country. Robie has served in a wide array of local, regional, and national committees and has also led international training and assessment teams to improve the profession of emergency management. He is currently a member of the Emergency Management Accreditation Program (EMAP) Commission. He continues to work with all sectors of emergency management including the academic community, the public sector, the private sector, and multiple special interest areas. Robie diligently strives to improve our profession by working with national and international standard committees. In addition to his work with the many professional groups and associations to which he belongs, Robie has testified before Legislative and Congressional Committees on numerous topics. He has represented IAEM very effectively as IAEM-USA Region 6 President through close cooperation with Doug Brown, IAEM-USA Region 6 Vice President and will continue to do so on behalf of the members of IAEM-USA Region 6.
