- Public Awareness Award
- Division 1: Local Emergency Management Agency (government)

Please Note: Some IAEM Councils may choose to offer additional award categories to their Council members. Such awards are not part of the IAEM-Global Awards Competition.
Entries will be considered at the Council level first by each Council’s awards committee or by a judges’ panel appointed by the Council President. The first place winners from each Council in each category then will be considered by the IAEM-Global Awards Work Group judges’ panel for global recognition.
Both Council and Global Award winners of the 2011 IAEM-Global Awards Competition will be announced by the IAEM-Awards Work Group on August 1, 2011. Council award presentations will take place at the discretion of the Council President. Global awards presentations will take place at the IAEM-Global Annual Conference, held this year at EMEC Europa 2011, Munich, Germany.
