The International Association of Emergency Managers announces the Call for Entries for the IAEM 2009 Awards Competition. Each year IAEM recognizes excellence in the emergency management field through the IAEM Awards.

- Entries for the IAEM-USA Uniformed Services Awards are being accepted now and must be received via e-mail to COL Bob Ditch, IAEM-USA Uniformed Services Caucus, at rditch@cox.net, no later than Sept. 1, 2009.

IAEM Board Approves Procedures for Nominating a New IAEM Award Category (11/18/08) The IAEM-Global Board on Nov. 18 approved a new process for nominating a new awards category for the IAEM Awards Program.
FEMA Administrator Paulison Receives IAEM-USA's Highest Award (11/17/08) The IAEM-USA 2008 National Security Award today was presented to R. David Paulison, Administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Administrator Paulison was selected for this rare award for his “unselfish and dedicated leadership that has significantly contributed to a strong U.S. civil defense and emergency management program as part of U.S. national security,” stated IAEM-USA President Larry Gispert during the award presentation.
