Caucus Mission

The mission of the IAEM-USA Uniformed Services Caucus is to foster mentorship and professional development among IAEM Uniformed Services members; enhance communication and sharing of best practices between uniformed services emergency managers; provide advocacy to IAEM leadership of uniformed services emergency management issues; and increase interest, visibility, and affiliation of IAEM among the uniformed services.

Winners of the 2009 IAEM-USA Uniformed Services Awards

The 2009 IAEM-USA Uniformed Services Awards were administered by the IAEM-USA Uniformed Services Caucus. The IAEM-USA Uniformed Member and Civilian Emergency Manager of the Year Awards recognize individuals serving in the Uniformed Services of the United States who have consistently demonstrated significant contributions to the field of emergency management
while continuously self-developing as emergency managers.

• IAEM-USA 2009 Military Uniformed Services Member of the Year Award Winner:
  Major Rodney Gumbish, USAF, MSC, Medical Readiness Fellow, Headquarters Air Mobility Command, Scott AFB, Illinois.
• IAEM-USA 2009 Civilian Uniformed Services Member of the Year Award Winner:
  Royce Shipley, EM Plans & Operations, 341st Civil Engineering Squadron; and Russ Decker, CEM, IAEM-USA President (2008-2009).
