THE IAEM BULLETIN
The IAEM Bulletin is published monthly by the International Association of Emergency Managers to keep members abreast of association news, government actions affecting emergency management, and research and information sources. Special Focus Issues
At least four times a year, the IAEM Bulletin includes a Special Focus section on a selected topic of interest to emergency managers.
Deadline for article submissions: Jan. 10, 2009
Articles are solicited on
emergency management communications
preparedness, response, and interoperability across agencies and regions.
Deadline for article submissions: Apr. 10, 2009
This issue will focus on innovation and new ideas that are
put into practice. We especially
want to hear from practitioners
who have put research into
practice, not just researchers who
have great ideas. Also, how have
you taken a lesson learned from
some event and applied it to a different situation, circumstance, event or organization?
Deadline for article submissions: June 10, 2009
An article could focus
on a specific organization, or it
could share how a community
utilizes assistance from faith-based
organizations, documenting lessons learned. In the United States, faithbased organizations have a special
function because of governmental
as well as individual agency rules.
We would like to learn how faithbased organizations respond all around the world; there may be
similarities or differences.
Deadline for article submissions: Sept. 10, 2009
The special focus topic will
match the theme for the IAEM-USA
2009 Annual Conference
